Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how Soothe & Motion, operated by Matthew COM, sole trader (micro-entreprise), 14 Rue des Trois Pigeons, 31200 Toulouse, France, collects and uses your personal data when you visit our website or buy from us. We are the data controller for this data.

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, the products you order.
  • Payment information: handled by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed and cookies, collected automatically when you use the website.

Why we use it

  • To process, ship and support your order (contract).
  • To answer your messages and handle returns (contract and legitimate interest).
  • To prevent fraud and keep the website secure (legitimate interest).
  • To send you marketing emails only if you agree, and to measure and improve our ads (consent where required).
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

We only share your data with service providers that help us run the store: Shopify (our store platform, which also processes data as described in its own privacy policy), payment providers, our fulfillment partner and carriers that prepare and deliver your order, and advertising platforms such as Meta if you accept marketing cookies. We do not sell your personal data for money. Some of these providers are located outside your country; where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept as long as needed for your order and our legal obligations (up to 10 years for accounting records). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or limit its use, withdraw your consent and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your data as defined by US state laws. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each email. To use your rights, contact us through our contact page or at funfactoryia1@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for using them. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in France: the CNIL).

Cookies

We use cookies needed for the store to work, and, with your consent where required, cookies for analytics and advertising. You can change your choices in the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Children

Our store is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
